The Park City Angels use the following process to vet investment opportunities: Application –> Screening Meeting –> General Meeting –> Due Diligence à Funding
Application: To be considered for funding, companies must create a profile on Gust.com. Once completed, search for “Park City Angels,” visit our page on Gust and then share your profile with our organization.
Screening Meeting: Screening Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month, generally from 4-6PM at PandoLabs with up to 6 companies presenting per meeting. Each presenter has 15 minutes to inform our group on your team, product, milestones achieved and fundraising goals. We recommend companies present for no more than 10 minutes via PPT or similar and use the remaining 5 minutes for Q&A.
General Meeting: If our members are interested in further engagement, we will invite you to present at a General Meeting. These meetings occur on the third Wednesday of the month and 2-3 companies present at each meeting. We may assign a member to meet with you prior to this presentation to learn more about your company and help you prepare. At the General Meeting, you will again have 20 minutes total to present and conduct Q&A. After all presentations, we will discuss opportunities and interest among our members and provide direction on next steps.
Due Diligence: During the due diligence phase a small team of PCA investors will conduct further meetings to gain a deeper understanding of your team, market opportunity and business status. The more information you can provide about your backgrounds, financials, IP, customers, etc., the faster this phase will proceed.
Term Sheets/Funding: If after due diligence our members are still interested in investing, we may offer a term sheet for the investment. PCA generally leads 1-2 deals per year though we follow existing lead investors much more frequently.
