Meet the Team

Our Board of Directors and Board of Advisors bring together seasoned leaders from across technology, finance, healthcare, and consumer industries, whose collective expertise fuels our mission of empowering entrepreneurs. With decades of operating, investing, and startup experience, they guide Park City Angels with strategic vision, hands‑on mentorship, and an expansive network of resources. Their diverse perspectives and proven track records ensure that every founder benefits from the insights and support needed to accelerate growth and drive lasting impact.

Board of Directors

Ted McAleer: 

Ted McAleer has been working with Utah’s Startup community since 1999 and has supported commercialization of innovation as the COO of VBGS and co-Founder and Board Chairman of Park City Angels.

 

In January 2025, he became the Regional Engagement Principal for Utah at the Defense Innovation Unit, a DoD program. Ted has held operational and leadership roles at a variety of startup companies including Braveheart Wireless, NexGen Materials and as the first Managing Director of PandoLabs, a business incubator and accelerator based in Park City, Utah. 

 

Ted’s innovation ecosystem work was kicked off as the 1st Executive Director of USTAR (Utah Science Technology and Research Initiative), the State of Utah’s signature technology-based economic development initiative.  Prior to USTAR, Ted spent 5 years in a variety of leadership roles with Campus Pipeline, a Utah-based venture-backed EdTech startup that raised $80+ million during the “dot com” era.

Pamela Stevenson: 

Pamela Stevenson is currently an Angel investor & Board Director, splitting her time between Park City and Toronto, Canada.

An experienced advertising and marketing executive, Pamela spent over 20 years in progressively senior positions in the U.S., U.K., and Canada for clients such as P & G, General Foods, Intercontinental Hotels, PPG Industries, and HJ Heinz. After purchasing Smithbooks in 1993, and Coles in 1994, Pamela and her husband Larry, founded Chapters, the Canadian book superstore company. With Pamela’s marketing leadership, the company developed the AvidReader Card, Canada’s first paid loyalty card program. Chapters went public in 1996, after which Pamela joined CIBC as Director of Marketing for Delta+, the Bank’s largest-ever capital investment project.

Pamela earned her BA at Franklin & Marshall College in Pennsylvania, and an Executive MBA at the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario. She has lived and worked internationally, including the US, Canada, London and Paris.

Ted Offit: 

Ted Offit has been a member of Park City Angels since 2021 and joined its board in 2023. He and his wife, Risa, have lived full-time in Park City since 2019 after several years as part-time residents. Ted was introduced to the community through his board role with the USA Olympic Committee's Board for Bobsled/Skeleton. A business attorney with over 40 years of experience, he serves as general counsel to privately held companies and advises on M&A and strategic growth. He is Chairman and co-founder of Offit Kurman, an Am Law 200 firm with 19 offices nationwide.

Michael Andrews: 

Michael Andrews is an Operating Executive with broad experience across energy (OGP, utility, generation and infrastructure), sustainability / cleantech, Data Analytics, industrial manufacturing, industrial services, with specific expertise in water and energy related cleantech market segments.  His career has been spent navigating Teams through high-stress situations (turnarounds & rapid expansions). The roles he has filled include Member of Global Operating Committee and SEC registered insider of a Fortune 500 company, CEO / Board positions with various private businesses and Managing Partner of a private investment firm he founded.

 

He is Founder and Managing Partner of Hawkstone Capital Group, a private investment firm, providing advisory services to family offices and privately held companies in the cleantech and specialty manufacturing market segments.

Donald Roll: 

Donald Roll joined Park City Angels in 2017, he has been on the Board since 2019 and is Secretary on the Executive Committee. In addition, Don manages the Park City Angels funds.

Before moving to Park City in 2016, Don was based in London for 26 years, the last 18 as Managing Director – Europe at Alacra Inc. a “dot.com” startup that evolved into a SAAS financial services workflow solutions for banks and consulting firms. Previously, Don had management positions at Knight-Ridder Financial in New York, Chicago and London and was the CFO at Meyertech, a startup in the fire prevention industry.

Don’s other volunteer work is with the Park City Historical Society, where he is on the Board of Trustees and co-chairs the Friends of Ski Mountain Mining History committee. Don and his wife Kathy enjoy the active mountain town life and enjoy skiing, golfing, hiking, biking and live music.

Robert Copeland: 

Robert Copeland is a seasoned executive, Board member and investor with over 25 years of accomplishments in finance, business operations, IT and HR.  Skilled at stabilizing corporate finances and guiding business planning efforts to strengthen operations, solidify financial relations, and positioning firms for growth.  He has a breadth of experience in multiple industries ranging from startups to fortune 500 companies that include consumer goods, aerospace, oil and gas and the last ten years in the tech industry.  

 

As a key member of Park City Angels, Robert has played a strategic role in developing / streamlining the screening process to narrow down over 60 companies a month to the final three to pitch at the monthly general meeting.  Robert holds an MBA from Denver University and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Cal Poly. In his free time, he enjoys skiing and mountain biking in Park City

Tim Teuscher: 

Tim Teuscher has been a member of PCA since 2021 and currently serves as the Treasurer and Executive Committee member.  

 

Tim is a retired management consulting Partner at Ernst & Young, where he primarily served the firm’s largest Energy clients and delivered over $4 billion in quantified value. 

 

Tim is a CPA and Certified Management Accountant.  He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a BBA from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also taught in the MBA program for seven years.

Doug Wells: 

Doug has been a member of PCA from almost the beginning. His friend Ted McAleer asked him to join so Doug said "Yes" first and later asked what was PCA. It has been one of Doug's biggest joys to be a part of this group and see its impact on the Utah ecosystem. His 3 best memories of PCA are (1) The 3 month incubator PCA helped sponsored and ran. (2) The coding bootcamp that PCA supported and ran. And (3) Seeing PCA's growth over the past 5 years. Before retiring, Doug helped grow his wealth management firm into one of the largest fee-only firms in the state of Utah (and later in the nation). Doug recently moved to Seattle, WA but hopes to stay involved in PCA.

Bob Sargent: 

Bob Sargent is a seasoned entrepreneur and investor, with over 40 years of experience in the insurance industry. As a member of Park City Angels since 2020, and a member of the board, he supports promising early-stage companies. Bob is the Founder and CEO of eSpecialty Insurance and an industry leader in Cyber and Errors & Omissions insurance for technology and other companies. His expertise was honed through founding and leading Tennant Risk Services for 31 years, where he pioneered cyber insurance and other unique products. Through his advisory roles with startups and service on multiple boards, Bob brings unique perspectives to founders as both a founder himself and an investor. His extensive background in insurance innovation, product development, and early-stage company growth provides valuable insights to InsurTech startups.

Anne Sinnott: 

Anne Sinnott is an entrepreneur with a diverse background in medical

research, biotechnology, and STEM education. With advanced degrees

in neuroscience and business, she began her professional career in

neuroimmunology and neuro-oncology research.  She then went on to

co-found a successful biotech startup, playing a key role in its growth

and public offering. After taking time to raise her three sons, Anne

redirected her focus toward philanthropy, Angel investing, and

community leadership. 

Now based in Park City, she serve on several Boards and Advisory

Committees, including PCAngels (an angel investing organization), PC

Tots (an early childhood education and childcare organization), Women’s Giving Fund (a local non-profit funding agency) and The Policy Circle (a leadership organization dedicated to community impact and civic engagement).  Anne is passionate about lifelong learning and

professional growth and continues to explore new ventures where she

can apply her expertise to develop innovative projects, formulate

creative strategy, and engage in mentorship opportunities. 

When she’s not advising startups or serving on community Boards, Anne loves socializing, hiking the Wasatch mountains, experimenting with new recipes, and designing unique jewelry.

Gunther Branham: 

Gunther Branham is a former Fortune 100 IT Executive. Since coming to Utah he has been active in the Utah investment and technology community  He has invested in and mentored several area startups with an emphasis on technology companies. In his free time Gunther enjoys hiking, biking and living in the beautiful Utah outdoors. Gunther holds a B.S. in Physics and Master in Business Management.

Scott Kurnit: 

Scott Kurnit is an investor and advisor focused on the digital ecosystem. Mr. Kurnit founded and served as Chairman and CEO of About, Inc. (“About”, Nasdaq: BOUT). Under his tenure, the firm grew to a public market value of $1.4 billion and was the fifth largest of all Web properties. About invented or popularized important Internet staples such as blogging, content search engine optimization, and contextual pay-per-click advertising.

About bought five companies during Mr. Kurnit’s tenure. He led the merger with KKR’s Primedia (where he sat on the Board) and participated in the subsequent sales of About to NYT (NYSE: NYT) and IAC (Nasdaq: IAC).

In addition to founding four companies, Mr. Kurnit led the team that embedded the first Web browser into an online service, started the first Pay Per View cable network, and co-led the team that implemented the first use of national caller ID.

 

He is an investor in 13 venture capital funds and has invested directly in 70 start-ups.

Bill Elkus: 

Bill Elkus founded Clearstone Venture Partners, one of Southern California’s largest VC firms. He was included in Forbes’ Midas List of top 50-100 VCs three times. Clearstone Fund I was the #1 fund out of about 700 funds listed by CalPERS in its 2011 IRR list.

 

Bill is a graduate of Harvard Law School and MIT’s Sloan School of Business. He also has a Bachelors degree in Mathematics from MIT. 

Bill and his wife have owned a home in upper Empire (Deer Valley) since 2007 and made Utah their primary residence in 2000. 

He joined PCA in 2001 and advises the PCA board on its VC relationships. He is also on the Member Advisory Committee to PCA Fund 1 and Fund 2.
